Fertility Challenges
Lena and Omar were already trying to conceive for 4 years when they joined the NFP program. As Lena was in her 40s, she was told by her doctors that her eggs were too old for natural conception. They wanted to rush her into IVF. Lena had PCOS, hormonal imbalances, Hashimoto’s thyroiditis and a low BMI that was suboptimal for fertility.
Omar had varicocele surgery in the past and had poor sperm health.
Personal Impact of the Fertility Challenges
Both Lena and Omar had a very busy lifestyle and traveled constantly from Africa to Europe for work. This made it extra challenging for them to address their fertility issues during their busy travel schedule.
Natural Fertility Treatment Overview
Our treatment was focused on addressing the hormonal imbalances, nutrient deficiencies, and toxicities in the body that were affecting Lena’s ability to produce healthy eggs and keep a healthy pregnancy.
Lena showed incredible dedication and even traveled to Europe to buy organic food, supplements and ingredients she could not get in Africa.
We’d never seen such commitment and dedication before.
While in Europe, Lena did the recommended tests, and we got to work. We addressed her heavy metal toxicities and thyroid antibodies. We detoxed her liver from toxic malaria drugs, boosted her BMI and addressed hormonal imbalances and PCOS.
Because Omar traveled a lot and had a very busy lifestyle, it was difficult for him to follow the program. However, we encouraged him to put in the bare minimum effort by taking his supplements and eating as healthy as he possibly could.
The Transformation Through the NFP Coaching Program
As Lena was already 42 at this time and Omar wasn’t able to follow the program as closely as Lena did, the couple decided to pursue another round of IVF after a year and a month of working with us.
To the couple’s surprise, they were successful on their first round of IVF using Lena’s own eggs, which at 44 is almost unheard of. Nine months later, Lena delivered a healthy baby girl at full term via natural birth.
